Integrated Approach to Pyrophyllite Supply and Partnership
The project aims to create a new source of industrial mineral raw materials in Ukraine, focusing on the production of high-tech products for manufacturing chains in the European Union and the United States.
Sycomoro owns a licensed pyrophyllite deposit and has the necessary permits and certificates.
The initiative is in the early stages of technological development and aims to establish a technically proven and ESG-compliant source of raw materials for industrial use.
The project is open to cooperation with:
- industrial consumers of pyrophyllite;
- technological and R&D partners;
- strategic investors;
- programs in the field of critical raw materials.

Pyrophyllite – characteristics and properties
Pyrophyllite is a natural mineral with a layered structure that is widely used in industry due to its combination of heat resistance, chemical inertness, and stable physical characteristics.
Properties of pyrophyllite
- high thermal resistance and stability when heated;
- low thermal conductivity;
- chemical inertness to most aggressive environments;
- low shrinkage during heat treatment;
- plasticity and ease of processing;
- stability of physical and chemical parameters.
Thanks to its combination of rare physical and chemical properties, pyrophyllite can effectively replace more expensive, scarce, and environmentally unfriendly components in compositions and composites, improving the performance characteristics of the final product and reducing production costs without compromising quality.
Applications of Pyrophyllite
Refractory Materials
Applied in the production of refractory bricks, tiles, and lining materials used in metallurgy and industrial furnaces, providing resistance to high temperatures and thermal loads.
Ceramic Industry
Pyrophyllite is used as a component of ceramic bodies, increasing thermal resistance, reducing shrinkage during firing, and ensuring surface stability and smoothness of finished products.
Paints and Coatings Industry
A functional filler in paints and coatings that improves adhesion, wear resistance, and thermal stability of coatings, while promoting uniform layer formation.

Rubber Industry
Used as a modifying additive in rubber products, improving elasticity, thermal resistance, and wear resistance of finished goods.
Paper Industry
Used as a mineral additive to improve brightness, surface smoothness, and printing properties of paper, as well as to enhance the structural stability of the material.
Other Applications
Used in the production of electrical insulation materials, plastics, cosmetic products, and in agriculture as a mineral additive for fertilizers.
Project status
The project focuses on localized processing of raw materials in Ukraine with subsequent production and supply of finished products to international industrial chains (refractory industry, technical ceramics, composites, special fillers, functional materials).
To achieve this goal, Sykomoro has already signed a memorandum of intent to locate future production in the industrial park. This confirms the practical readiness of the project to move from the feasibility study stage to the production phase in collaboration with industrial partners.
The stage of preparing the necessary documentation for the implementation of the project is ongoing, in accordance with the provisions of the current legislation of Ukraine.
The implementation of the production part of the project in Ukraine creates the following economic and strategic advantages at the stage of forming a European value chain:
- proximity to the deposit significantly reduces logistics and related costs;
- access to qualified engineering and technical personnel;
- competitive cost of energy, land, and infrastructure;
- the possibility of locating production in an industrial park with existing tax and regulatory incentives in Ukraine.
The project is open to strategic partnerships. We invite you to join us in creating a joint venture with access to a unique raw material base, advantageous industrial infrastructure in Ukraine, and the scalable EU and US markets.
Industrial park and government incentives
The future production facility is planned to be located in an industrial park near the pyrophyllite deposit, which will ensure optimal logistics and minimize operating costs.
Advantages
Exemption from corporate income tax (subject to reinvestment).
Exemption from VAT and import duties on equipment imported for own production.
Land and property tax exemptions (subject to local government approval).
Ready-made engineering infrastructure.
Simplified administrative procedures for launching production.
Technical Questions on Pyrophyllite Supply
What pyrophyllite particle sizes do you supply?
Particle size fractions and granulometric composition are selected depending on the application and customer requirements. Detailed parameters are provided upon technical request.
Is supply of pyrophyllite to EU countries possible?
Yes, the company organizes pyrophyllite supply both within Ukraine and to European Union countries, in compliance with logistics and customs requirements.
Do you provide technical documentation?
Yes, Sycomoro provides product certifications. Physico-chemical characteristics, certificates, and technical specifications are supplied upon request, depending on the batch and material preparation.
What are the minimum supply volumes?
Minimum order volumes depend on the material type, particle size, and delivery conditions and are agreed individually.
Can the material be tailored for a specific production process?
Yes, pyrophyllite parameters can be adjusted based on the application sector and the customer’s technological requirements within the scope of technical consultation.
